Anatoly Zak was born in Russia and attended the School of Journalism at Moscow State University. Upon moving to the U.S., he earned a journalism degree from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications.
He is the author of Russia in Space The Past Explained The Future Explored and has contributed to the BBC, the Air & Space Smithsonian, the New York Times, Popular Mechanics and many other publications.
He also appears as an expert commentator on TV and radio shows, and has provided commentary to a United Nations conference.
Anatoly was appointed as a spaceflight correspondent to Sen in Dec. 2014. As well as contributing news reports, Anatoly writes a weekly blog on Russian space developments and writes historical spaceflight features based on his vast archive and knowledge of space history.
